About SHRM Recertification

The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) is the largest and most influential professional organization for HR professionals globally. With a mission to empower HR professionals and advance workplace practices, SHRM offers robust support through certifications, training programs, and resources that reflect the evolving needs of the industry.

Earning a SHRM certification, such as SHRM-CP® (Certified Professional) or SHRM-SCP® (Senior Certified Professional), demonstrates your commitment to excellence in human resource management. However, maintaining these certifications requires ongoing professional development to ensure your knowledge stays current and relevant in today’s fast-paced workplace environment.

To retain your SHRM certification, you are required to earn 60 Professional Development Credits (PDCs) every three years. PDCs can be earned through professional-development activities that meet SHRM’s recertification requirements, including educational programs, conferences, webinars, and workplace projects aligned with SHRM’s Body of Applied Skills and Knowledge (BASK). How AIGPE® Supports SHRM Recertification

How Can I Earn SHRM Recertification Credits?

AIGPE® is recognized by SHRM to offer Professional Development Credits (PDCs) for SHRM-CP® or SHRM-SCP® recertification activities. Each listed activity has its own verified PDC value. Before enrolling or claiming credit, confirm the program and its current PDC amount in the SHRM provider directory.

For a listed program, complete the course requirements and follow SHRM’s recertification process to claim the applicable credits.
